Boston, MA., February 11, 1992: CXR Digilog today introduced WANVista,
comprised of a full-size PC board and its appropriate software, which
after an easy installation, transforms any 286 or 386 PC into a
full-function WAN protocol analyzer.
WANVista is designed to provide maintenance testing of the most common Wide
Area Networks. It includes all the functions and features needed for rapid
evaluation of SNA and X.25 protocol networks. Simultaneous statistical
counters present an overview of network activity along with comprehensive
decoding of SNA and X.25 protocol elements in English mnemonics.
WANVista completely decodes X.25 frames through Layer 3 including
facilities and cause and diagnostic codes, provides a comprehensive
selection of pre-defined trigger/trap events, and has a 1 Mbyte storage
buffer. It features high speed real-time triggering and trapping anywhere
in the data stream. Hundreds of pre-defined protocol specific trigger
events are available, and others may be user defined in a simple
step-by-step process.
High-end bit error rate test features such as Latest Error Free Seconds
Period, Longest Error Free Period, Sync Loss Counter, and three error rate
calculations are standard in WANVista.
WANVista is priced starting at $1,995 and is scheduled for shipment in
February, 1992.
Soon to be released features include extensive SS#7 and ISDN decode
packages .
